America is a safer place because of these individuals featured below, who are serving in the military.
The City of Nixon salutes these brave men and women.


Marine Cpl. John Longoria, 21, a graduate of Nixon-Smiley High School, died of wounds from small-arms fire in the Euphrates River town of New Ubayadi, on November 14, 2005.
John will long be remembered in Nixon for his friendly smile and his loving attitude.
